What are some good icebreakers and attention grabbers for summer camp (class)?

Hello, I am teaching a summer camp class (Nature) and I would like some ideas on how to introduce myself to the campers and have them introduce themselves to each other . I dont have any really good ideas. I will be teaching all age levels from 4 up to 14 years old (in different classes of course) but I would love your input. Teachers, Camp counselors, anyone with experience with working with children.

Best Colorado tent campsites that are secluded, near water(stream) and your neighbor isnt on top of you?

We just camped at Greenridge at Shadow Mtn Lake (between Lake Granby and Grand Lake) and it was really fun and cool. We were their with 2 friends and 2 dogs. Elevation was roughly 8500 ft. The tent sites were really close together. Can anyone give me some links or info on tentsites that are relatively inexpensive, secluded, wooded or shaded, 8000-10000 ft elevation, dogs ok, right on a stream or water body, and not able to see your camping neighbors every move? I know this sounds very picky, but hey, it's Colorado! It's every campers dream state! Thanks a bunch in advance!

Introducing a Kitten to my 4yr old Calico...?

My mom picked up the kitten after it was hit by a car. She was injured and we took her to the vet. The skin on her bottom jaw was pulled away and it's going to take months to heal. So we don't feel comfortable giving her to a new home until she has completely healed up. She's been here about 2 weeks now. Pumpkin my 4 yr old calico has not been a happy camper. She pretty much stays in my room when the kitten is out and about playing. (Note: The kitten is staying in a spare room and let out with supervision.) They have both exchanged hisses and are practicing avoidance, which is great considering they could be trying to attack each other. They have talked to each other through the door and then hissed and Pumpkin left for the bedroom again. Miracle is about 6 weeks old, and I feel bad leaving her in the spare room but I can't risk them fighting and Miracle winding up more injured then she already is. Any suggestions?

Where are your parents in all of this? If you are still living at home, then your parents need to handle this conflict by making sure you both have separate space, if at all possible, so you can stay away from each other. If you are over 18, then you have a choice to start looking at ways not to be living with your sister anymore. Sisters can sometimes get pretty crazy with each other. You need to try to focus not on trying to get your sister arrested/in trouble. Try communicating with her, or having some kind of contract with her about how you are BOTH going to speak to/treat each other. If you are living with your parents, have them help you with this. If you don't engage your sister with rude comments/annoying behaviors/meanness, then you know she is much less likely to be a pain back. Ignore her as much as possible and force yourself to be polite, even when she is deliberately trying to get under your skin. And be the bigger person and apologize. I just bought a 1973 bethany pop up camper for 100 bucks! The interior is in great condition, the frame and outside is also in great condition, the only thing thats wrong with it is the canvas.. My question is, what is their motive? On their website they said they they would never pray for a damned soul (aka "fag") but at the same time if a gay person came into their church, they would basically accept them with open arms and teach them "the right ways". They also said that Jesus didn't die for everyone, but rather just for his "sheep". So I'm confused. From what I knew about Christianity, Jesus died for EVERYONE, and that you were supposed to pray for the people that didn't know God. Call of Duty: Black Ops or Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (Multiplayer)?

I have both of these games, but I am a little torn between which multiplayer experience is better. In Modern Warfare 2, I like the weapons (especially the Sniper Rifles) and the killstreaks, but I feel like the maps are a bit too "camper-happy". Also, I really hate how grenade launchers can dominate an entire game, In Black Ops, I find that the weapons are dominated by Assault Rifles (In other words, assault rifles overpower all the other type of weapons - except for some submachine guns) and some killstreaks are kind of pointless (RC-XD), but I love the maps (Nuketown!)

Can neighbor sue me for land survey cost?

Around 6 months ago I installed a picket fence between my property and my neighbors. At the time we both agreed where to put the fence. A month after he has a survey done and it shows that I am on his property in two spots about 6 inches but I'm also on my property in some areas 6 inches. I offered to move the fence onto my property but he told me he was going to take me to court and if I touched the fence it would be trespassing. I have received a letter stating he is going to sue me for the full cost of his survey 850$, his legal fees, and for us to move the fence. I don't mind moving the fence but can he make me pay for a survey and legal fees? I've tried talking to him about it but he insists we pay for the survey and says we can not move the fence until he takes us to court for the survey cost.

I loved her as much as I've ever loved anyone, but I think I fell into things too quickly. After a while it seemed as though the relationship was 75% me and 25% her. I started hearing rumors about her and an ex of hers, that still loved her. She ended up going home with him after one of MY baseball games, and made out with him. I wouldn't bring them to any protest. When young, it's not their issue it's mine. By the time they are old enough to attend such an event, then they are old enough to go without. If we happen to be going to the same thing, fine. My son has gone to a few protest over the last year or so. I recently hung out with an old friend who is now engaged...GO GIRL!!! Yes, this was our screaming, slap happy moment after countless failed relationships and just BS in general. We're both almost 30 (28 to be exact), and with events like ten-year class reunions (to remind us we are not so young anymore-not OLD- but not young either) I personally have started reevaluating my benchmark goals. I was never the girl dreaming about her wedding ring...I dreamed about the first pair of Jimmy Choo's I'd wear to my first board meeting. I wanted to develop ME and be the best me before becoming one with someone else. Don't get me wrong, I did want the complete American dream with the $100K+/year career, house, husband, 2.5 children, dog, and brick red (not white, brick red) picket fence and eggshell/pearl Escalade. I've always been modest in what I want in a man as well as life. I do want to love him, get along with him, have fun with him, worship with him, and for the sake of pro-creating, be attracted to him physically. Living in Atlanta, Ga there are about 12 women for every one man; and with half the men here being homosexual, it's really like 24:1 women:men). The "straight" men have become a hot commodity, and they generally act as if they are oil. The result is the beautiful, successful, intelligent, and sweet women generally lower their standards, take abuse/mistreatment that should not be tolerated, are terribly insecure, and utterly desperate. I don't expect Vin Diesel or Tyrese with money like Bill Gates and a sexual prowess that puts Casanova to shame - but I do expect most of what I want in a man and I should be most of what he wants. I would never want someone to settle for me because I was a safe bet - I actually want to be desired and wanted. I want to give my man the same. Yet, every woman I know that has recently married, or that is getting married, has had to lower her standards and give up on the notion of being in love. Especially in the minority community where a significant number of our young, fully equipped men are in prison, gay, addicted to drugs, and/or disheartedly unemployed quitters (those who won't try anymore). Is it a fairy tale to add "love" and "attraction" to the list that qualifies a potential mate; unrealistic to believe that every qualified, deserving woman will be able to find a qualified, deserving man? The qualifications are case-by-case of course (there should ideally be someone for everyone, no matter what the type or preferences are). Being the mother of a pre-teen who herself desires to see me in a relationship, and after putting so much into her and trying to pursue my career dreams (and that yielding no fruit in light of the recent recession) - being in a healthy relationship is starting to become more and more important to me. Hi. My husband and I decided to take 6 kids camping with us and 2 of them were mine. The rest were my nieces aged from 6-13. My kids Lizzy age 2 and Maddie age 4 and my nieces Alayna age 6, Nicole age 10, Jaymee age 11 and Britney age 13. I am 28 myself and my husband is 29. We decided since Alayna, Nicole and Jaymee haven't seen Britney since 2009 (Britney moved, but shes moved back into the area) we would take them all camping, BAD IDEA. Well lets start from the begining, we were packing up for 1 weeks trip. All of that food, blankets, pillows, toys etc. We filled up 2 cars with all that stuff (we took 3 total). So we get all packed up and leave. Now Britney has never been camping before. As soon as we got up there Nicole, Jaymee and Britney went to the bathroom and complained about how dirty it was and was recording on the phone saying "the camp store is cleaner than those bathrooms". Then they were talking in hillbilly voices (ANNOYING) and wouldnt shut up while me and my husband were trying to put up our trailer tent. They were singing very loudly with hillbilly voices. Then all the little kids were throwing fits because some couldnt sit by Britney and blah blah blah (They did this alot). Then they argued over who got the tenis racket (we only ahd 3) and the younger kids were screaming and crying because the older kids wouldnt give them turns. Then we let them take a walk on their own before dinner was ready (all together) and who-ever was the "brilliant one" and decided to teach the little kids to knock over port a pottys and chase golfcarts and it was raining too and i went to go look for them and they were going to the place where they tell you what activites there is to do that night (WE TOLD THEM BEFORE WHAT ACTIVITES THERE WAS) and i picked up the little kdis in my car there was no room for the big kids so i made them walk and (stalked them) to make sure they go back to the tent. Then we took them to the park and they were argueing over the teet or tot and my daughter got a splinter and it strated pouring it was horrible, Went back to the tent. Then Nicole wanted to sleep by Britneyy tonight (they stay upo and talk and giggle so NO). She has the biggest fit ever and cried and said "your not the boss of me" and "im not eating " and "my mom made me come on this trip i didnt want to i hate you" and she called her mom and asked to be picked up (Her mom refused to drive because the campsite was 2 1/2 hours away and it was 7pm). So then we ate dinner and they went to the creek now my 2 year old daughter was scared to walk in the water and Jaymee was holding her and asked help from Nicole and Britney but they just left them and went up more in the creek, that irratated me. Then they went to roast marshmellows and burnt everyone of them ON PURPOSE (the older kids im talking about) so it was in the fire. I yelled at them. So theyw ent into the camper. There bed was being help up by 2 steel rods and they jumped ON PURPOSE (they know not too) and one cracked so we yelled at them. Then we went to bed from 9pm-12:30am they were up ALL NIGHT (dont ask why i have NO IDEA they woke me and my husband up, we didnt have any sleeping pills either) shaking the camper, bouncing up and down, making fart noises, whispering, laughing, getting in and out of the camper being OBNOXIOUS (the OLDER kids not the younger ones). Then at 4:30am Nicole was yelling "lets gather around the campfire and sing our campfire song" in a hillbilly voice. I yelled at them to go to bed and this is never happening again and were leaving tomorrow. I turned the TV off at 1:00am so they were doing this in pitch blackness. The little kids were asleep the whole time NOT US. We yelled at them constantly but they didnt care. So the next day we got the lil ones up at 6am and ate breakfast and went golfing (mini golfing) and i dont know why i wasted the 10$ on the older kids cuz they were being smarta$$es and using their hands (video recording it) and going on seperate courses cuz they didnt wanna wait for the lil ones. They said to me in a hillbilly voice "wasnt that a great game of golf arnt we the best golfers" Then we went past a sign that said have a beary good day and theyre like "aunt zoey r u having a beary good day" and saying beary after EVERYTHING they said. We told them to pick up the ground before we left they threw everything in the fire and video recorded it (That made me furious) so I told them to go to the car. They are the most disgustingest people ever. They didnt bring deodarent ON PURPOSE and lifted their arms up (they were sitting there for 45 minutes and doors wer shut) My car windows were foggy and oh my god we had to air out the car i made them leave all the doors open and sprayed them with febreeze for 10 minutes. Hey guys, i need some serious help, life issues?

hey, umm, i dont know where to start from. I graduated my military school four months ago. I was planning to make money in the summer, and go to california to start my acting career. My Parents sold their house a month after i graduated and left may 28th, they asked me if i wanted to go but i thought that i it would be better if i stayed in Alaska so i could make as much money as i can to go after my dream of acting.Well after they left i realized how hard it is out there. Me and two of my friends are kind of living at his moms, and my camper. The other night i got a D.U.I and it went downhill. I wasnt working because i was waiting for my boss to pay me. He did. I just started my job today, i have to drive without my license there, and its okay, i just want to make as much money as i can before i move down there. I really am not sure if i can because of the D.U.I and all the classes that come with it. I dont know if i need to talk to the court or what. I just feel really really lost without a purpose, because i think i wouldnt be able to make it in losangeles, since were having hard time buying food, gas, and everything else. i want to go down to my parents house in Lake Havasu, AZ and maybe go to community college, but im not even sure where to start. Okay so for starters im pregnant. The father and I are on a completely duffernt story. To shorten it he cheated and got another girl pregnant but im trying to work through it because I believe everyone deserves a second chance. I live with my parents now but I'll probably be 20 or 21 when I do this and I plan to live in the vehicle for... at least 3 years I figure. What is the cheapest thing I can possibly get? One of my friends that I work with has been making a lot of bad choices. She got dumped by her boyfriend about a month ago so she's trying to get over that. This doesnt sound like a good idea to me. The bridal shower should be about the bride. If you share it, then you have to share the spot light. It just sounds like a big head ache too. Making sure the gifts don't get mixed up, and make sure that everyone gets recognized. The games and such wouldnt be to hard, and food would be easier, only one shower to provide for, but the gifts and the guests would be the toughest. Granted you guys are best friends, but it may put some people in ackward positions to purchase gifts for a joint shower.

The Perks and guns in Black Ops are much better balanced. I can't figure out what good any of the LMG's are, but on the whole, none of the guns or perks are overpowered, so you actually see a good variety of tactics and class layouts.

There should never be any limits on freedom of speech, I also am a vet I served in the "War On Drugs" I received lots of praise for refusing to let the bong go. I think you're right in a sense. It's better to have a few close friends than just one best friend because what would happen if that best friend betrayed you? Then you'd be left with no one. Why does my dodge truck lose power when it hits 1/2 tank of diesel?

Usually this happens when I am towing my 5th wheel camper. It loses power if it gets below a 1/2 tank - once I refuel it stops. Took it to the shop and they could not find a problem??
