Why is my husband actting this way?

I am expecting my husband back home from afghanistan shortly and i wanted to by some lingerie so i talk to my husband about it and he said it was fine and he wanted too see want i have picket and i sent them to him then he said yes they are nice and i ask him about a bunny outfit and he sound like he got bother and had said i don't like it and i had ask why and he just said because i don't then he had said i think its better if you don't by any of them then he said look by what ever you want it suppose to be a surprise for me and i know it was suppose too but he had ask to see what i wanted to by and i really don't understand what i did to upset him can some one please help me understand
