Help! Mothers Day gift ideas?

My Mom lives in Florida, I live in Illinois, for 27 years now. I love her to death, but don't know her that well, as far as gift ideas. Nic-nacs are out of the question. I've bought her clothes, either it's not her style or not her size. I've sent flowers-once the container (a cute picket fence) was broken, once they were wilted. She has no hobbies. She has a dog that she adores. She's never worked outside the home, she doesn't drive. She does not wear makeup, or jewelry, would never do a spa. As far as a visit, I have a 24 year old daughter who would HAVE to go, too, and I would have to pay. I was laid off in November, JUST went back to work- can't afford that right now.
