Prepaid and contracted phone battery help?

Hi, okay so me and my friend both have Virgin mobile, but she has a contract and i have a prepaid phone, and my battery says low cost on it but hers doesnt, and our phones are different so what would happen if her and i switched batteries with eachother? Like would her phone act as a prepaid? or what please help
